Solar radiation is the heat which we receive on the Earth’s surface. It is termed as Insolation.

- Atmosphere does not get directly heated by the rays of Sun.

During day, carbon dioxide present in atmosphere absorbs the heat and prevents the earth from becoming too cool at night This phenomenon is called as Greenhouse effect.
