Basin:

An area of the land around river with streams running around it.

Delta:

Triangle shape area of the land of the river splitting into small rivers.

Estuary:

It is the wide portion of river that enters into the sea and flows in a single channel into the ocean

River flowing throughout the year

Amazon Basin has sparse/ very less population. Tribal people follow shifting agriculture. Seringueiros people gather latex from the rubber trees in the forest.Thickly populated due to perennial rivers, so agricultural is the main occupation. Agro based industries such as cotton, jute, silk, tea are the main ones found here.
Manaus is a major rubber collecting centre. In Brazil Belgium and in Peru. Iquitos is  important riverine port of Amazon basin.Many towns and cities are developed along the banks of the river like Kanpur, Patna, Kolkata. These are also tourist spots.
