- Markets play an important rule in the lives of the people
- Shops are mostly rented/ owned by shopkeepers
- Shopkeepers generally sell groceries, fruits, vegetables, clothes, utensils, crockeries, stationary, milk, sweets etc.
- Shopkeepers buy and sell the things needed by the people during special occasions such as Diwali, Christmas, Ramzan etc.

- The workers who are working in these factories are made to settle in close proximity to the industries, so that they no need to travel a much distance.
- This type of employment had increased the standard of living and helps in the development of that area.

- These people are called as casual workers and their salary is fixed by the employer, but there is no job security.

- Unemployment is now the major problem due to increasing population.
- Government is providing more opportunities by welcoming many new industries and provide loans for the youngsters to start their new business.
